The Champalimaud Center for the Unknown located in Lisbon, Portugal is a multidisciplinary center for translational research of excellence, attracting the best researchers, academics and medical doctors from Portugal and abroad in the fields of neurosciences and oncology. The 641,000 square foot Champalimaud Research Center includes laboratories for basic and clinical research, an ambulatory care centre, a vivarium, an auditorium, conference rooms, teaching facilities and an exhibition area.

The state-of-the-art facilities for basic and clinical research and for teaching fosters front line research in molecular biology, genetics, immunology, neurosciences and oncology and the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients.

Scope of Project

The AccuValve airflow control valve was the product design of choice for this important project matching the latest and best in technology from around the globe. The AccuValve which incorporates true airflow measurement, low pressure drop design and universal input/output control capability is responsible for airflow in more than 400 locations throughout the facility. The AccuValve maintains critical airflow parameters for lab, vivarium and patient treatment areas. Control of the AccuValve is directly through the Sauter Controls BAS.
